Penrice Academy is a truly outstanding school, with wonderful students and forward thinking, inspirational staff. We are highly successful with year-on-year exceptional results which now put us in the top 7% of schools nationally. We provide our students with the knowledge, skills, and attributes to be victorious as they move to the next stages of their education and lives. As a school community we have a relentless drive and ambition to provide the best possible educational experience for each and every one of our students.
Penrice Academy is part of Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT), a family of Cornish Primary and Secondary Schools, with a strategic vision to ‘learn together to help every child achieve more’. This is an exciting time to join our large, dynamic Trust, which is responsible for educating learners across four secondary schools, one junior school and eight primary schools with a Free School (primary) to open in September 2021. There are extensive opportunities to work collaboratively with experienced professionals and leaders across the Trust, with unparalleled CPD and career development prospects.
We are looking to appoint a curriculum, teaching and learning lead in Maths to take a leading role in our large, highly skilled and collaborative Maths department, where we think deeply about teaching, learning and curriculum to ensure every student has an extensive knowledge of Maths. Our Maths curriculum has been carefully designed by our specialists to challenge and inspire students to love Maths using real life contexts.
We would like an innovative teacher, with experience of leading others, to join our team, bringing further creative thought to continue our journey forwards. This role will evaluate the impact of the curriculum design, curriculum delivery and the progress of all students, alongside the Deputy Head of Maths and Head of Maths. Using data to identify areas of development and design curriculums that continuously improve student experience and progress in Maths, we aim to ensure that every student, no matter their starting point, makes maximum progress.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to take a leading role in our Maths team. We offer a diverse range of professional improvement opportunities for all staff.
