Permanent, 35 hours per week

Term time only plus 3 INSET days (38.6 working weeks / 43.809 paid weeks)

Starting salary £13,665 gross per annum (Pay and grading review pending)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team as soon as possible. The purpose of the Personalised Learning Mentor is to provide a calm, purposeful and welcoming learning environment where students feel safe and supported in their learning.  The successful candidate will ensure clear communication and develop links with the wider school community.

Newquay Tretherras is part of Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT), a family of Cornish Primary and Secondary Schools, with a strategic vision of ‘learning together to help every child achieve more’. This is an exciting time to join our large, dynamic Trust, which is responsible for educating learners across four secondary schools, one junior school and eight primary schools with a Free School (primary) to open in September 2021. There are extensive opportunities to work collaboratively with experienced professionals and leaders across the Trust, with fantastic CPD and career development prospects.

Cornwall has a hugely diverse landscape with nearly a third of the county designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  Cornwall is almost completely surrounded by sea with dramatic coastline, captivating fishing harbours, spectacular sandy beaches and a rich cultural heritage.
