TEACHING ASSISTANTS, PONDHU SCHOOL (REF:PON008)
Various hours permanent and maternity cover roles term time only -commencing 1st September 2021
£8.91 per hour (pay & grading review pending)
Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT) is seeking to appoint caring, patient and skilled individuals to work as part of our team. The position would entail working with pupils and teachers to support individuals, groups and classes as directed by the class teacher and senior leadership team. This would involve supporting in the preparation of activities and materials for learning as well as working directly with children and providing feedback to colleagues, parents and outside agencies about children’s progress.
We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate:
- relevant experience of working with primary school pupils, including those with additional needs
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification or experience
- At least Maths and English GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above
- the ability to work supportively with parents to meet the needs of pupils
- excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- a competent working knowledge of safeguarding procedures and Keeping Children Safe in Education 2020
- a creative positive and flexible approach to problem solving
- a positive outlook
- an ability to deliver structured learning programs as directed
- Read, Write Inc. experience desirable
