TEACHING ASSISTANT & LUNCHTIME ASSISTANT (REF: MEV013)
11.5 hours a week Wednesday & Friday (including ½ hour lunchtime each day)
Permanent term time only + 2 Inset days-Actual salary £4,710
Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT) require a Teaching Assistant to support pupils learning across the primary age range. Part time hours of 11.5 per week primarily working from 0845 to 1515 hours on Wednesdays and Fridays. The post will also include lunch-time cover.
This is an exciting time to join this small, friendly school that is committed to providing a wide range of high quality learning experiences. There are currently 135 pupils on roll in five mixed age classes. We are committed to appointing the right person – previous experience, including the teaching of phonics, is desirable.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Support the teacher in delivering the curriculum
- Cover classes as required
- Provide lunch-time cover
- Undertake group work
- Assist in break-time supervision
- Assist in the preparation of teaching resources
- Be able to communicate effectively with children and parents
