Permanent Contract – required to start as soon as possible

Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT) is a family of Cornish Primary and Secondary Schools, with a strategic vision to ‘learn together to help every child achieve more’. This is an exciting time to join our large, dynamic Trust, which is responsible for educating learners across four secondary schools, one junior school and nine primary schools.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and proactive Health & Safety Coordinator to work across two of our secondary schools – Penrice Academy and Poltair School. The key roles and responsibilities will be to ensure that the school environments are safe, meet all appropriate frameworks and are compliant with current Health & Safety legislations and policies, including first aid requirements. The Health & Safety Coordinator will also have oversight of all risk assessments, reporting and staff training to ensure these elements are performed to the highest standard. You will be a collaborative team player, be able to maintain your workload and responsibilities, plus have excellent communication skills to liaise with staff and students.

Applicants should have up to date knowledge of Health & Safety / Facility Management or equivalent and relevant qualifications, with prior experience of working in a Health & Safety / Risk Assessment role.

As the role is developed, there may be opportunity for additional contracted hours to provide Health and Safety support to another secondary school within the Trust.
