TEACHING ASSISTANT

CARCLAZE PRIMARY SCHOOL (REF:CAR001)

(Temporary to cover long term sick leave)

30 hours term time only plus 2 days – Gross salary £13,189

Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT) is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support pupils learning across the primary age range at Carclaze School. Hours working from 8.45am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday to include lunchtime duties. Carclaze is an inclusive and supportive school community that is committed to providing a wide range of high-quality learning experiences for all children. We are a mixed age primary school with 14 classes and currently 394 pupils on roll. We are committed to appointing the right person – previous experience is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will be expected to:

· Support the teacher in delivering the curriculum.

· Cover classes as required.

· Undertake group work.

· Assist in break-time supervision

· Assist in the preparation of teaching resources

· Be able to communicate effectively with children and parents.

· Lunchtime duties, supervising and supporting the children at lunch break
