Are you passionate about working with young people and curious learners?
Would you like to experience working in an exceptional educational setting with the opportunity for training and development as part of an excellent inclusion team?
Penrice Academy is a truly outstanding school, with wonderful students and forward thinking, inspirational teaching and support staff. We are highly successful with year-on-year exceptional results which now put us in the top 7% of schools nationally. We provide our students with the knowledge, skills and attributes to be successful as they move to the next phase of their education. As a school community we have a relentless drive and ambition to provide the best possible educational experience for each and every one of our students. Penrice Academy is part of Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT), a family of Cornish Primary and Secondary Schools, with a strategic vision to ‘learn together to help every child achieve more’. This is an exciting time to join our large, dynamic Trust, which is responsible for educating learners across four secondary schools, one junior school and nine primary schools. There are extensive opportunities to work collaboratively with experienced professionals across the Trust with unparalleled CPD and career development prospects.
We are seeking to expand our SEN Inclusion team to enable our learners to thrive and achieve the best possible outcomes. We wish to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to support students with a range of additional needs, taking a proactive role in supporting the educational, social and physical needs of students at our school.
The successful candidate will be able to use their initiative, and support teaching and learning across the curriculum, aiding the teacher in the practical organisation of classroom activities and small group work and interventions. We pride ourselves in our enriched curriculum offer, with opportunities afforded to all students as part of our inclusive ethos and we would like to continue to advocate this for our learners with your help.
This would be a fantastic opportunity for graduates who would like to gain more experience within a school setting before pursuing a career in teaching and education. This post is also suitable for an individual who may already work within education as a learning support assistant and would like the opportunity to develop their practice at a forward thinking school. You may already have a wealth of experience or may want to change the direction of your career and training opportunities will be available for the right candidates.
