Permanent – Required to start as soon as possible

Term-time plus 5 INSET days plus 12 additional days (41.4 working weeks / 47.400 paid weeks) 25 days paid holiday plus Bank Holidays. 

37 hours per week – Negotiable, part time requests will be considered

Salary range£19,244 – £23,936 actual gross per annum

As a Pastoral Support Mentor, you will support students to develop emotional and social maturity, individuality, initiative and confidence. You will be based in our Pastoral Support Team but will spend a significant amount of time working closely with individual students and staff across the whole school.  Part time requests will be considered.

You will be keen to contribute to a culture of support and mutual respect for both students and staff. You will have the ability to build effective professional relationships with young people and their families, parents or carers. You will be someone who always displays calmness and patience, and who can listen with understanding and compassion. You will play an important role in setting expectations, and you will have the strength of character to insist on the highest standards e.g. addressing negative student behaviours wherever you come across them, and ensuring that the school rules are always followed.
