Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT) is a highly successful multi-academy trust situated in mid-Cornwall. The trust is comprised of 14 schools – 4 secondary and 10 primary. Since our conception in 2019, we have demonstrated year on year improvement, achieving some truly remarkable outcomes for children. We are ambitious for the learners in our community and have a strong culture of collaboration to enable us to achieve our mission of ‘learning together to help every child achieve more’.
The Trust is looking to appoint an exceptional leader to support the development of English. This is a role based in a school and initially, will be at Poltair School, one of our four secondary schools.
Poltair School is a transformational, fast paced school with exceptionally high expectations for all, serving students aged 11-16 in the St. Austell area of Cornwall. The students have exemplary behaviour and attitudes, dress smartly and appreciate the importance of education.
The school is on a rapid improvement journey and are ambitious for what the students in the community can achieve. At the heart of this is the provision of a knowledge-rich curriculum and exceptional teaching and learning. Every leader must play their part in modelling expert teaching and expecting the best of others. We truly want our students to develop the confidence and character to make a significant contribution to society and lead a life of choice and opportunities.
The Trust School Improvement: English post is a key appointment. We are looking for someone with the energy, passion, and commitment to have a demonstrable impact in the development of English in the Trust.
