Permanent – Required to start 1st September 2023

35 hours per week, 38.6 working weeks / 44.200 paid weeks (Term Time + 3 additional days across the year)

Starting salary – £17,785 actual gross per annum

The core purpose of The Learning Centre at Newquay Tretherras is education and enabling students to improve their outcomes and succeed.  An exciting opportunity has arisen to join The Learning Centre working as a Learning Tutor.  The role of Learning Tutor is to provide a calm, purposeful and welcoming learning environment where students feel safe and supported in their learning, encouraging students back into mainstream education.  This is achieved by delivering individual plans of learning and support, including bespoke timetables, 1:1 lessons and mentoring.  The successful candidate will have excellent communication to assist the Learning Centre Manager develop links with the wider school community.  Necessary training will be provided to the successful candidate.  If you are passionate and enthusiastic about working with fantastic young people, we would love to hear from you.
