At Poltair School, you will work in an exciting, fast-paced and highly motivated, yet supportive environment. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards for behaviour, engagement and academic outcomes. Poltair is a school steeped in history on an exponential journey of success, supported as part of Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT), a family of Cornish Primary and Secondary Schools, with a strategic vision to ‘learn together to help every child achieve more’. This is an exciting time to join our large, dynamic Trust, which is responsible for educating learners across four secondary schools, one junior school and nine primary schools. There are extensive opportunities to work collaboratively with experienced professionals and leaders across the Trust with unparalleled CPD and career development prospects for all.
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and passionate School Sports Coordinator to enhance our extensive Physical Education, School Sport & Physical Activity (PESSPA) provision in school and the local community. The successful candidate will have a drive and passion to bridge the inequalities gap and have a wider impact on young people’s attainment and attendance. We are seeking to expand our Time2Move Holiday Programme and the successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading and running these activities. Experience of working with young people and an understanding of national initiatives including Bikeability, Time2Move, Girls’ FA and Primary School Sport Premium would be beneficial. The role will also include growing our lettings offer to the local community to increase the opportunities for the use of sports facilities within St Austell. This is a truly exciting opportunity to develop a new role in our school and, if successful within the first year, the contract may be extended.
