We are seeking to appoint an inspirational teacher of Mathematics to play a critical role in our drive to ensure that our Mathematics curriculum challenges, inspires and engages all of our students. You must be a motivated practitioner who can lead by example and inspire others whilst providing challenge and rigour for students of all abilities. The successful candidate will ensure quality of teaching and learning and raising of standards for all, both in the Maths department and across the school.

It is an exciting time to join the department where you will be able to make a significant contribution to leading the team in the next stage of their journey, with radical changes being made to the curriculum and delivery of Maths with the introduction of Complete Maths for all students. Our Exams Team are highly respected by staff and students, providing essential support to the examination process. We are looking for Lead Exam Invigilators who, in addition to general invigilating duties, will take a lead responsibility for the set-up of exams, ensuring that they operate in line with all JCQ regulations. The Lead Invigilator will take the primary responsibility for an examinations venue, acting as the first port of call for any queries or problems, resolving where possible and escalating to the Exams Officer as required.

Hours are flexible, term time only during exam periods, with the exam sessions typically running between 8.00 – 11.30am and 12.30 – 3.00pm.  The abilities to work on your own initiative and as part of a team are essential.  Previous experience of working in a supervisory role is essential and experience of working with children would be advantageous, but full training and support will be provided.
