We are seeking a temporary Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team of staff as soon as possible.  This is a temporary position, three days per week, working Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.  The successful applicant will work collaboratively with teaching staff and have the ability to support students’ literacy development.

SEN Teaching Assistant

We are primarily looking for someone with experience in upper KS2 who would be able to work with groups of children and individuals to deliver rapid progress in reading and maths. The position would entail working 1:1 with a Year 5 child with emotional and behavioural needs, supporting them to access their learning in class and in small groups. An essential part of this role will involve liaising closely with our Pastoral Manger and SENDCO to deliver a targeted intervention programme linked to the pupil’s EHCP targets. Ideally, we are seeking an individual who has received Trauma Informed Schools training but this is not essential.
