Alex More
Ben Jane is a Senior Lecturer in Physical Activity and Public Health at Plymouth Marjon University, with over 20 years of experience in Further and Higher Education. Passionate about innovative teaching and digital education, he has extensive experience fostering collaborative spaces for colleagues to explore new pedagogical approaches.
One of Ben’s recent initiatives includes leading a university-wide project to review grading practices in the era of generative AI, developing clear guidance for ethically and effectively evaluating student work. His expertise in this area is further demonstrated by his contribution to an upcoming Routledge textbook chapter, “Redefining Assessments in the Age of AI,” to be published in May 2025.
Members of the AI in Education at Oxford University (AIEOU)
The AI in Education at Oxford University (AIEOU) interdisciplinary research hub aims to establish a dynamic community of practice that will challenge and positively shape the future of AI in education.
AIEOU promotes a research-informed, ethical, human-centered approach to AI in Education through collaboration and knowledge exchange. Working across the four pillars of design, regulation, implementation and impact, researchers at the University of Oxford collaborate and convene with expert colleagues and key stakeholders from around the world to establish a shared research agenda. The team seeks to co-create a use case for AI in Education that represents best practice in quality teaching and learning.
Caitlin Gould
Caitlin is the co-founder of two female focused start-ups, TECwomen CIC and Kensa Health. TECwomen runs meet up events and supports new digital talent through the digitalUPLIFT program. Since 2019 she has also run the TECgirls project, working to inspire young girls and to address the gender gap in technology, engineering and creative digital spaces.
Caitlin is a passionate advocate for the continued expansion of the Cornish technology sector. This has led to her becoming chair of board for the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Digital Skills Partnership, where she work with several other Cornish technology and tigital companies to explore ways to support and transform Cornwall.
