We are thrilled to share the fantastic news that the FutureLab Enterprise Hub at Bodmin College has secured £59,612.60 in funding through Cornwall Council’s Community Infrastructure Levy Fund (CIL).
Our thanks go to Cornwall Council for their invaluable support in bringing this transformative project to life. The FutureLab Enterprise Hub will be based within Bodmin College’s Vocational Centre, a space dedicated to nurturing the aspirations of Bodmin and the Wider CELT Community’s young people. This innovative hub will provide tailored vocational and entrepreneurial learning opportunities for students, especially those facing significant challenges in traditional education settings.
Equipped with cutting-edge resources, including 3D printers, 3D Scanner, VR headsets, direct-to-garment printers, vinyl and laser cutters, standalone music production centre and digital media production tools, FutureLab will inspire creativity, build confidence, and prepare students with skills for future careers.
This funding is a vital step toward making FutureLab a reality, and we look forward to collaborating with our partners, our community, and Cornwall Council to ensure its success. Many congratulations to Mark Talbot and Andy Egford, who worked hard on completing multiple application forms to secure this funding for our students.
Stay tuned as we progress with the development of FutureLab, creating brighter futures for our students and the
wider community.
